Installing Ubuntu in your system is an easy process than installing Windows, if you aware how to partition the drives then it is very easy to install this.
Before starting the installation, I recommend to plug your computer in to a power source. And also make sure that your computer has enough space to install Ubuntu (it requires 4.8GB of free space).
Step 1:
There are 2 possible ways to install Ubuntu Operating System,
1) Using a DVD
2) Using a USB drive
We can easily install Ubuntu from a DVD. With deploying simple steps to install Ubuntu,
Put the DVD Disk into the DVD Drive and restart your computer. After restarting it prompts “Press any Key to boot from CD/DVD” you press any key from the keyboard then it prompt a welcome screen to choose your language and then click on “install Ubuntu”.
If you want to setup Ubuntu from USB, make sure that your USB drive is Bootable USB Drive. Put USB into USB Ports and restart your computer. After restarting the computer that asks for language selection then click on “installs Ubuntu”.
Step 2:
After clicking on “install Ubuntu”. It prompts a window showing “preparing to install Ubuntu”. If your system is connected to the internet you select “Download Updates while installing” and “install this third party software”.
If you are not connected to the internet that is asking to set up a wireless network. If it is available you select the wireless network otherwise you select “I don’t want select Wi-Fi network right now”.
Step 3:
Now we have to select “Installation type”,
This window installs Ubuntu along with the previous Operating System (like Windows 7, Windows 8 etc…), Replace previous Operating System with Ubuntu and Something. Based upon your interest you choose a particular option. And click on “Continue”.
Step 4:
After completion of step 3, it asks for “select drive“. On which drive you want to install Ubuntu, select the drive and click on “continue”.
If you want to access all the drives and perform partitions then select “advanced partition tool” for more control. Then click on “Install Now” button.

Step 3:
Now you select “User Configuration” to modify the drive permissions.
Go to “user configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Explorer”
After clicking these, there are several lists of the things we appear. In that you select,
“Prevent access to drive from my computer”
Step 4:

Step 5:
In that window there are three options. Those are,

If you want to lock the drive you need to select “Enable” option. And in bottom of the window you will have some options. On which drive you need to lock, select the drive and click on “Apply” then click on “OK”.
